Overview
Facilities Operations is responsible for the operation and maintenance of approximately 2.2 million square feet of classroom, laboratory, housing, dining, office, conference, athletic, and other ancillary facilities on approximately 184 acres, with a staff of 79 full time employees. New construction, renovation, and maintenance functions are accomplished with in-house talent including carpentry and cabinetry, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, groundskeeping, grounds construction, and custodial trades. The Copy Center, Mailroom, Property Administration, Shipping and Receiving and moving services are performed by the department. Design, drafting, energy management, transportation, refuse collection, and recycling are in-house services also provided by Facilities Operations. We support the educational process by assisting in the design, fabrication, and construction of student and faculty course and research projects.
